Disc Golf

Filed in Land, Outdoor by on 18th December 2015 • views: 20646

Disc golf is played like traditional golf, but instead of a ball & clubs, using a disc (frisbee). The disc is thrown from a tee to the ‘hole’, a specially designed basket that catches the disc. Craggan Outdoors’ – BEST OUTDOOR ADVENTURE EXPERIENCE in the Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards 2019 – disc golf course is set alongside the main golf course, & comprises nine holes, & can be played as a round of 9 or 18 holes (twice around the nine), or if you fancy even more, then play as many holes & times round with a day ticket.

As with standard golf, we welcome all ages, all types of groups & all abilities, so if you fancy something a little different in the way of a couple of hours of easy access outdoor fun, then why not come & give it a try. It’s great value at £8 per 9 hole round for adults, & £6 for under-16s; & 18 holes is £10 & £7.50 respectively. Or get a day ticket for £15 (£11.50 under 16s) & play as much as you like. Free hire of one disc is included, with hire of additional discs being £2 each.

Disc golf is in normal times a ‘pay & play’ activity, so no bookings required / taken – except for groups who are always advised to pre-book, particularly if wanting disc hire – just come along, pay your money, & off you go.

BUT…..& please note this Covid related update, whilst precautions remain in place it is necessary to pre-book, so please use the contact form to send an enquiry, email or call us to enquire & book.

If you are a disc golf convert & wish to play a lot, then why not get a season ticket? Adult tickets are £70 & £30 for under-16s. Joint season tickets to combine disc golf with footgolf &/or golf are also available. Please email ferguslaing60@gmail.com for further information.

If you have young children, for which the full length course may be a bit much, we also have a shorter ‘mini’ disc golf course. Designed with nine shorter holes, all set within a smaller self-contained area, this shorter course is specifically with younger children in mind. Price is £5 per adult & £3 for under 16s for a round, with the same details as the main course for discs.

And if you find that you like it, then there’s another course to play not too far away at our friends Ace Adventure up near Forres. Check it out. The two courses jointly hosted the inaugural Moray Disc Golf Open in 2015 as part of the annual Quaich Tour, & have staged competitions each year since. Interested? Then check out the Quaich Tour.

Don’t forget to ask us about catering for your group aswell.

Vouchers also available.
